Keep Your STAR Benefits!
Have you heard about the public health emergency (PHE) coming to an end and how it could impact you? Read more about it here.
Important: The state of Texas has automatically extended CHIP and STAR Medicaid benefits since the federal government issued a public health emergency (PHE) due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
When the PHE ends, you will need to recertify for your benefits. If you do not, you could lose your benefits. We will share information when we receive it. In the meantime, please do these things:
- Update your mailing address, phone, and e-mail with HHSC right away.
- Watch your mail for information from HHSC. If you receive paperwork, complete it right away.
- If you have any questions, please call us.
Donāt lose your health care benefits ā let Community help you recertify! Medicaid STAR Members must recertify every year. Community will contact you when your recertification date is coming up, but you must take action if you want to keep your benefits!
