Get the training you need to build a healthy, happy life.

Created in 2018, The Life Services Department provides services outside of healthcare by creating initiatives that address the Social Determinants of Health for Community Health Choice Members and their families.

One Life Services initiative is called CareerReady

CareerReady is a program designed to give eligible Community Members a chance to pursue a career with the support of a Life Coach and a scholarship from Community Health Choice. Each Community Member accepted into the program is called a CareerReady Scholar. Every CareerReady Scholar has a Life Coach cheering and supporting them along the journey toward reaching their educational goals and starting a career.

The CareerReady scholarship covers the tuition, fees, and books needed to complete a job certification at Houston Community College, San Jacinto College, Lone Star College, WorkTexas or with a job training partner. Upon completion, our dedicated Employer Partner Specialist help our members and their families find a job to support the overall success of the family.

The overall goal is to invest in the futures of our members and their families by providing them support to pursue their career and education goals.
