Since 2018 CareerReady Has

  • Placed members in 48 different job opportunities. Average wage of $17.50/hr.
  • 100% Job placement rate for CareerReady Scholars that reached the Employment Ready Stage. These scholars gained employment within 6 months and retained employment for more than 6 months.

Company and Employer Partner Specialist meet to discuss employment needs and hiring process

Step 2

Employer Partner Specialist sends designated Company Recruiter:

  • Scholar's resume
  • Job # of interest

Step 3

Company Recruiter screens applicant

Step 4

Hiring Manager schedules an interview with CareerReady Scholar

Step 5

CareerReady Scholar successfully completes interview and lands a job offer

Veronica Bonilla - Employer Partner Specialist

Veronica Bonilla

Veronica Bonilla is a graduate from the University of Houston with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Human Development and Family Studies. She has an extensive background in secondary education. As an Employer Partner Specialist, she helps guide scholars gain skills not just academically but for job placement.

“I strongly believe that knowledge is power. Providing resources and tools for others to succeed is my passion. Being a first-generation graduate, I know how confusing life can be. My goal is too empower and guide others to triumph.”

Rene Garcia

Rene Garcia graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Psychology. He has 18 plus years working in case management with youth and adults. As an Employer Partner Specialist, he specializes in getting our scholars ready for employment and building our employer partnerships.
