Lisa Wright talks with Houston Public Media about higher quality outcomes for pregnant mothers during the COVID PHE

Community President and CEO Lisa Wright spent time with Houston Public Media discussing the positive outcomes for Texas mothers who receive longer health coverage during the COVID-related Public Health Emergency. In her conversation with HPM-NPR reporter Sara Ernst, Lisa emphasized the importance of educating people about the PHE and the pending recertification process when the PHE ends. During the PHE, some Texans have been eligible for extended coverage opportunities, which has led to better health outcomes.
