Men, Take Care of Your Health This September

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. It’s a good time to remind men, especially those over 40, to put their health first.

Prostate cancer is common in men. The good news is that when it’s found early, it is easier to treat. Many men don’t notice any signs at first. That’s why it’s important to know when to talk to your doctor.

When should you get checked?

  • Age 40: If prostate cancer runs in your family.
  • Age 45: If you have health problems or other risk factors.
  • Age 50 and older: For most men, this is the time to start regular checkups.

Your doctor knows you best. They can tell you if you should start earlier or wait.

Why it matters

  • Finding prostate cancer early gives you more choices for care.
  • Screenings are quick and simple.
  • Taking care of yourself means more time with the people you love.
