Happy World Health Day! Let's Make Healthy Choices Together
World Health Day is here! Every year on April 7th, we take time to think about our health and how to make it better. This day is also used to bring attention to a specific health topic of concern that affects people all over the world. This year’s focus is on maternal and newborn health.
Why is World Health Day Important?
The World Health Organization (WHO) started World Health Day to help people all over the world understand how important health is. They want everyone to have the chance to live a healthy life. You can read more about the WHO and World Health Day here.
2025 Focus – Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures
We in Texas already know there is a crisis. We have too many deaths of mothers during pregnancy. We also have too many babies who die before the age of 1. This year’s focus is on helping every woman and baby survive and thrive. We all should strive for healthy pregnancies and births, and better care after delivery.
