CHIP Co-payments: You do not have to pay your CHIP co-payment from August 25, 2017 through November 30, 2017, if your permanent address is in one of the Hurricane Harvey Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) declared disaster counties. To check if you are in one of these counties, click here: https://www.fema.gov/disaster/4332.
Out-of-Network Service for Members Affected by Hurricane Harvey: Community understands that many of our Members have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. If you were displaced due to Hurricane Harvey, and have an urgent need to see a doctor, please go to the nearest medical care. In this special situation, you do not need to get prior authorization to see an out-of-network doctor for urgent care. If your medical need is not urgent, or you have not been displaced by Hurricane Harvey, please get your care from an in-network doctor.
