Accountability: Just as we encourage our Members to be accountable for their health by educating them through our disease management programs and promoting the benefits of a medical home, our staff holds itself accountable for our actions individually and as a team. 

Responsive: Our Members and Providers are the reason we are in business; therefore, being responsive to their needs and concerns is integral to our success. 

Excellence: We strive for excellence by continually soliciting Member and Provider feedback and then using it to improve our network and programs.

Service: We offer superior Member and Provider service. We are out in the community, helping not just our own Members but being of service to others in need.


Our History

Community started insuring Southeast Texans in 1997 — 20 years ago. Since then, we have insured over a million locals with coverage and service that has always aimed to be the best around. 

In 2014, Community began to offer plans through the Health Insurance Marketplace. A product of the Affordable Care Act, the Marketplace gives us another way to provide high-quality, low-cost coverage to those who otherwise might go without affordable access to regular health care.
